I Need Help With This Site!
I'm asking anyone who is a fan of this site to become a co-writer for
it. I have a new job that will take away from the amount of time I can
put into this website. I'm probably only going to have time for a
couple of articles a week, which is hardly enough to keep visitors
coming back. All you would have to do is e-mail me the article and I
would be able to post it and give you credit for it.
Have your opinion heard! A different viewpoint would be great for
this site. Please e-mail me if your interested. My e-mail address is

Cowboy's Trivia Question of the Week!
What college did Troy Aikman first attend?
Last Week's Answer: Sonoma State

Draft Targets: Left Tackle
With Flozell Adam's entering the final year of his contract, left tackle
is a legitimate need. He is probably good enough to re-sign, but
there is no way to know that he will. Management appears to be
high on Pat McQuistan, but I wouldn't count on him as a left tackle.
Marc Colombo is a question mark as well. He could start for the
next five seasons for Dallas or he could end up re-injurying his knee
and we could be looking for two tackles. I think we will target athletic
left tackle prospects because McQuistan appears to be at least
good enough to play the right side. I'm not including the top
tackles because everybody knows about them and I really don't see
us spending a top pick on one.
Ugoh is the best of the bunch and he will probably be an early-mid
2nd round pick. Free, Harris, and Barbre are probably third
rounders.
1. Tony Ugoh 6'5 301 5.06 Arkansas
Ugoh is a powerful run blocker. He has good size and athleticism.
He has a lot of experience in the nation's toughest conference. He
doesn't always display to his physical tools. Needs to learn better
technique if he wants to play left tackle. A good 2nd Round option.
2. Doug Free 6'6 324 5.22 N. Illinois
Free is big and extremely athletic for his size. He has long arms
and he excels in pass protection. He has legitimate left tackle
potential. He isn't overly strong or physical. He played against
weak competition.
3. Ryan Harris 6'5 305 5.09 Notre Dame
Harris is athletic with good quickness and agility. He can handle
edge rushers and get to the 2nd level in the run game. He is a four
year starter. He is small and his frame is maxed out. He doesn't
play with an attitude.
4. Allen Barbre 6'4 300 4.84 Missouri Southern St.
A great athlete. He is strong and a physical player. He still has
growth potential. He dominated his level of competition. He
struggles in pass protection at times due to a lack of technique and
experience.
5. Jacob Bender 6'6 316 5.22 Nicholls St.
Great size. He is a great athlete. He dominated his competition.
Good intangibles. Is raw and his weight room strength doesn't show
on the football field.
6. Adam Koets 6'5 298 5.08 Oregon St.
Athletic and mobile. Very good in pass protection. He has growth
potential. He isn't very strong at the point of attack. He lacks the
mean streak you look for in lineman. Experienced, but he lacks
intangibles.
7. Mario Henderson 6'7 302 5.11 Florida St.
Great height with long arms. He can still add weight to his frame.
He is a good athlete with upside. He plays to high and he needs to
get stronger. Only started for one season.
8. Gabe Hall 6'4 313 4.91 Texas Tech
Decent size with good athleticism. Has plenty of experience pass
blocking. He isn't a great run blocker. He has some character
issues.
9. Brandon Frye 6'4 301 5.08 Virginia Tech
A good pass blocker and run blocker. A good athlete. Will play
hurt. Only played offensive line one season. Technique needs
work, but he has the upside.
10. Elliot Vallejo 6'7 327 5.34 Cal-Davis
Vallejo has amazing size. He is a surprisingly good athlete who
could play LT with some technique work. Plays nasty. He isn't
overly strong or powerful. Weak competition.
One More Cowboys' Mock Draft
This might be final Cowboys' mock draft. I don't see me changing
my mind anymore, but you never know. The 1st pick is really a toss
up between Reggie Nelson, Robert Meachem, Dwayne Bowe, Chris
Houston, and Darrell Revis. One or two of those guys will be off the
board, but at least three of those guys will be available. All three
spots are needs so we should just take the best player. If
Meachem isn't the best player in management's opinion then they
shouldn't take him, although I think he is.
1. WR Robert Meachem 6'2 214 4.39 Tennessee
Meachem has everything you look for in a wide receiver. He has
the size, speed, hands, athleticism, leaping ability, and productivity
you look for. He might be the best deep threat in this draft. He is
also elusive in the open field and he will break through arm tackles.
2. DE/OLB LaMarr Woodley 6'2 266 4.79 Michigan
Woodley is a great pass rusher that has some experience in a 3-4
style defense. He isn't the best athlete in the world, but his
production is outstanding.
3. OT Doug Free 6'6 324 5.22 N. Illinois
Free has great size and he is an amazing athlete. Needs to
develop more strength, but he has the size and feet to be a
big-time left tackle.
4. NT Paul Solai 6'4 344 5.14 Utah
Solai is a big, strong nose tackle with tons of upside. He will need
some seasoning, but he has the potential to be a really good
starter down the line.
5. CB Courtney Brown 6'1 200 4.34 Cal-Poly
Brown has amazing size and speed. He has very productive at his
level. He has amazing potential, but he is raw and will need a
bunch of coaching.
6. NT Quinton Echols 6'1 313 5.05 Kansas St.
Echols is a strong, high character guy. He is experienced and he
could contribute right away in a rotation. He doesn't have the
upside that Solai has, but he could develop into a starter and at the
very least a quality backup.
6. CB Ryan Smith 5'10 174 4.62 Florida
This guy was a monster for the Gators last season totalling eight
interceptions. He has amazing ball skills and he is faster than he
times. He is small, but he plays with tenacity. Will never be a
starter, but a guy who should develop into a good nickel CB.
7. C Enoka Lucas 6'3 303 5.48 Oregon
Lucas doesn't have great physical tools, but he is a hard-nosed
guy with great intangibles that could develop into a quality backup
center which is a big priority.
7. ILB Blair Phillips 6'1 238 4.86 Oregon
Phillips could attempt to fill the void left by Ryan Fowler. He will
probably have two or three rookies battling for the 4th ILB spot
especially if Carpenter stays outside. Phillips is an excellent run
stuffer who struggles in coverage not unlike Fowler.
7. G/C Jake Kuresa 6'4 322 5.25 BYU
Kuresa is raw, but he has a good deal of upside. He is pretty
strong and powerful and he has respectable athleticism. More of a
guard, but he could play some center too.

WR/KR Derek Stanley Wisconsin-Whitewater
RB Courtney Lewis Texas A&M
