Fullback
RANKINGS
Name           Height  Weight   40 Time     College
1.  Matt  Bernstein  6’1  259  4.87  Wisconsin

Strengths:  Tremendous size and strength.  Is a dominating lead blocker.  Is a good goal-line
runner who is deceptively fast and quick.  Decent hands.  Experienced and a good team player.

Weaknesses:  Isn’t a great athlete.  Needs to improve his ability to block in space.  Isn’t ever going
to be much of a receiver of runner.  Has had some injuries.

How He Fits:  This guy is a lead blocker plain and simple.  I think we need a guy like Bernstein to
help our running game.  Parcells usually leans towards the more versatile guys, but we don’t need a
Richie Anderson type guy when we have the TO, Glenn, and Witten.

2.  Garrett Mills  6’2  241  4.62  Tulsa

Strengths:  Great athlete.  Knows how to get open and make the tough catch.  Had the best
receiving season of any tight end in the history of college football.  Is a good blocker in space.  Is a
hard worker who wants to learn how to be an H-back type player.

Weaknesses:  Needs to add weight and strength.  Isn’t much of a lead blocker yet.

How He Fits:  If Parcells wants a more versatile H-back type fullback then this is his guy.  He would
be a great option in the 4th round instead of Bernstein if that is the direction Parcells wanted to go.

3.  Brian Vickers  6’0  245  4.85   Colorado

Strengths:   Has decent athletic ability.  A jack-of-all trades guy who can run, catch, and block.
Experienced and very mature.  Really excels as a receiver.

Weaknesses:  Has poor top end speed.  Needs to get stronger and improve as a blocker.
Probably won’t be much of a factor as a runner in the NFL.

How He Fits:  Another solid option in the 4th or 5th round if Parcells wants a more versatile fullback.

4.  Rashon-Powers Neal  6'2  240  4.61  Notre Dame

Strengths:  Strong and physical runner.  Has decent speed and quickness.  Is an excellent receiver
out of the backfield.  Has some potential.

Weaknesses:  Not an outstanding blocker.  Not very physical for a fullback.  Will never be much
more than a situational runner.

How He Fits:  Good all-around fullback that Parcells seems to like.  Good late round option.

5.  JD Runnels 6'0  237  4.65  Oklamhoma

Strengths:  An outstanding run blocker.  Very physical.   Is good at picking up the blitz.  A decent
athlete.  Solid receiver.  Is a team leader with great intangibles.

Weaknesses:  Undersized.  Can he be a good blocker in the NFL with his size.  Not much of a
runner.

How He Fits:  This guy is a great run blocker.  He reminds me of Polite and Tony Richardson at the
same time.  I really wouldn't mind spending a late round on this guy.

6.  Shawn Willis  6’1  260  4.90  Oklahoma St.

Strengths:  An outstanding run blocker.  Lead the way for a very potent running attack.
Experienced guy who has played a lot of football.

Weaknesses:  Struggles in space.  Not a very good athlete.  May not be fast enough to be an
every down fullback.  Doesn’t bring much to the table as a runner or receiver.

How He Fits:  He is a great blocker like Bernstein.  He would be a decent option in the 6th round if
Parcells wants a bulldozer for a fullback.
