Name Height Weight 40 Time College
1. Santonio Holmes 5'11 179 4.34 Ohio St.
Strengths: Speedster who can stretch the field vertically. Very shifty with excellent quickness and
agility. Runs good routes and knows how to get open. Excellent after the catch ability. Reliable hands.
Physical and to afraid to go across the middle. One of the most polished receivers in the draft.
Weaknesses: Needs to add some weight. Height is below-average. Not the greatest blocker. Wasn't
super productive.
How He Fits: Some sites still have us taking Santonio in the 1st round. I like him as a player, but WR
is way down on our needs list.
2. Chad Jackson 6'1 213 4.32 Florida
Strengths: Excellent speed. Big, muscular frame. Good hands. A big-time deep threat. Excellent
leaper who is great in the redzone. Will go across the middle. Good after the catch. Lots of potential.
Weaknesses: Isn't very physical at the line of scrimmage. Not real experienced. Needs to become a
better blocker.
How He Fits: I like him too, but we don't need to take a WR in the 1st round. He is the type of receiver
I want teamed with Crayton as our future receivers.
3. Sinorice Moss 5'8 185 4.38 Miami
Strengths: Amazing quickness and agility. A terror in the open field much like his brother Santana
and Steve Smith. A good deep threat. Good route runner and knows how to get open. Good
intangibles. A great return man.
Weaknesses: Very short. Lacks tons of experience. Will have trouble with the physicality of the NFL.
How He Fits: I'm not real sure he is as good as some people seem to believe. I think he is being
over-hyped because of the success of Smith and Moss. I don't see him as the same caliber player as
those two.
4. Derek Hagan 6'2 208 4.42 Arizona State
Strengths: Extremely productive. Good size. Smart player who really knows how to play the position.
Ran a good 40 time. Tough guy. Displays excellent ball skills.
Weaknesses: Not much of a deep threat. His hands are inconsistent. He will drop some easy ones.
Doesn't have a tremendous amount of potential.
How He Fits: A below average option in the 2nd round. I want a receiver with more speed since
Crayton doesn't have great speed.
5. Demetrius WIlliams 6'2 197 4.46 Oregon
Strengths: Long strider who can really get down the field. Good height with long arms. Good leaper
who displays nice ball skills. Good quickness. Has some tools to work with.
Weaknesses: Needs to add some bulk. Doesn't give much as a blocker. Wasn't used going across
the middle very much. Hands are a little suspect.
How He Fits: I really like this guy. If he slipped into the 3rd round I would jump all over him.
6. Maurice Stovall 6'4 217 4.61 Notre Dame
Strengths: Great size and he knows how to use it. Good hands. Can make the tough catch.
Outstanding blocker. Great leaper. Very productive his senior year. A terror in the redzone.
Weaknesses: Lacks great speed. WIll have problems seperating. Will never be more than a good
possession receiver.
How He Fits: Stovall's best case scenario is becoming a Keyshawn Johnson. Not really what we need
at WR even if we did take one in the 2nd round.
7. Martin Nance 6'4 213 4.55 Miami (OH)
Strengths: Big frame. Is an excellent possession receiver. Runs good routes. Solid intangibles.
Was a big time producer.
Weaknesses: Lacks elite speed. Won't be a deep threat. Needs to work on his consistency.
How He Fits: See Stovall.
8. Jason Avant 6'1 212 4.50 Michigan
Strengths: Most polished receiver in this draft. Knows how to get open. Is very smart and is a team
leader. A pretty good athlete.
Weaknesses: Doesn't have tremendous speed. Will never be a start.
How He Fits: I see Jason as similar to Crayton. We don't need another Crayton type guy.
9. Greg Lee 6'2 205 4.60 Pittsburgh
Strengths: Nice size and frame. Good athlete who has a knack for getting open. Seems to make the
catch no matter how many guys are on him. Was very productive.
Weaknesses: Inconsistent. Lacks great timed speed. Needs to work on his routes and overall
technique.
How He Fits: I see Crayton similarities in him too. We need a speedster to develop along with
Crayton.
10. Todd Watkins 6'2 202 4.41 BYU
Strengths: Great speed and can really stretch the field. Can make the difficult grab. Runs good
routes and knows how to get open. Has some upside.
Weaknesses: Is a little skinny although he has put on a lot of weight. Not the greatest blocker. Drops
too many passes. Doesn't always give it his all.
How He Fits: Just the speedster we are looking for to complement Crayton. Great option in the 3rd
round.
11. Hank Baskett 6'3 224 4.49 New Mexico
Strengths: Great size. Very physical receiver who knows how to use his body to shield away
defenders. Great hands. Outstanding leaper who displays good body control going up and getting the
ball. Has great potential.
Weaknesses: Lacks great speed or quickness. Isn't a deep threat. Needs to improve as a run
blocker. Can get lazy running his routes.
How He Fits: Solid option in the later rounds due to his tremendous upside.
12. Mike Hass 6'1 208 4.62 Oregon State
Strengths: Insanely productive. Knows how to pick a DB apart. Team leader with great intangibles.
Excellent blocker. Comes up big in the clutch.
Weaknesses: Not a great athlete. Will never be more than a complementary player.
How He Fits: I see Mike being the next Ricky Proehl. A career 3rd receiver who always makes the big
catch. I love him as a player, but we need a speed demon.
13. Greg Jennings 5'11 197 4.48 Western Michigan
Strengths: Excellent quickness. Great hands. Excellent ball skills. Possession receiver who is a 1st
down machine. Is pretty good after the catch.
Weaknesses: Isn't much of a deep threat. Lacks great size. Doesn't have tons of potential.
How He Fits: He doesn't seem to be a good fit for what we need as a young wideout.
